No, not the Dow Jones averages – the Athens Farmer’s Market! \u00a0 So many great veggies to enjoy!<\/p>\n

New this week – the white eggplant is ready. \u00a0 And aren’t the blooms beautiful, too?<\/p>\n

We also have the first pick of the summer watermelons – as always, just a few to start with. \u00a0Crimson Sweet, Sugar Baby and Charleston Grey. \u00a0On ice, just to celebrate the occasion.<\/p>\n

More heirloom tomatoes – the Reisentraube and Sweet Beverly cherry tomatoes are here, along with our big beefsteak tomatoes: the Cherokee Purple and Black Krim. Lots of beautiful squash, and a great recipe to share. \u00a0 All the standards will be back too – including lots of beautiful kale and burgundy okra. \u00a0Lemon cukes, onions, fingerling potatoes, sweet corn, carrots, yukon gold and red potatoes, green and purple snap beans, yellow soleil french beans \u00a0and the new Red Ripper southern peas.<\/p>\n

Oh, and for the first time: fresh herbs – Sweet basil and Thai basil.<\/p>\n
