In 2018, the Gopher Knoll apiary was approved as a member of the Real Texas Honey™ program.  This certification by the Texas State Beekeepers Association is your assurance of honey that is produced by bees that are permanently sited in Texas and is 100% pure, raw and unfiltered.  

In addition to our heirloom vegetable garden, we plant several acres of various clovers and wildflowers, herbs, berries and fruit trees.  This wide diversity of nectar and pollen results in healthier bees and truly delicious honey.

Our bees work at home in carefully tended hives in Athens, TX.  We set up a booth at the Athens Farmer’s Market when family obligations allow.   At other times you can find our Real Texas Honey™  at various stores around Henderson County, including:   Dana’s Herb ‘N Coffee Garage, Cherry Laurel bakery and Grow It Forward Farm store in Athens, and The Picket Fence in Canton.
