Freeze Report

Freeze damage
Freeze Damaged tomato plant

This is a very sad tomato plant.   It didn’t like the 31.3 degrees in the garden last night even a little bit.  Luckily, the tomatoes seem to be the worst of the damage.

No worries.  There are plenty more tomatoes where those came from – in the greenhouse waiting for their chance at the big world.

Potatoes were only nipped slightly and most of the blueberries seem to be fine.  I haven’t uncovered beans and squash, but since they had a double layer of row cover, I expect they will be okay.

I’ll be planting tomatoes and watermelons tomorrow.  Here’s hoping this is the last we’ll see of winter for a while.
