And from the government, no less!

Clarification from the State Health Dept. (DSHS): “If the kale or chard is simply cut at the base and sold, it is not considered a potentially hazardous product and thus would not require refrigeration or a permit.”

So now we know: Our fresh kale is not – and has never been – hazardous to your health!

And on that happy note: The Fall CSA season is on! We’ll start Sept 29 and run for 10 weeks, ending Dec 11 (no deliveries on Thanksgiving week.)  Preference in filling the available slots will go to the current CSA members.  If you’d like to be added to the waiting list,  just fill out the little form on the “JOIN OUR CSA”  page.  We’ll send you an email to confirm your place.   Please be sure to read the the CSA and FAQ pages so you’ll know how we operate.

If you’d like to see what we expect/hope to harvest, click HERE. This is not a promise – it’s a plan. Mother Nature gets the final word.

Looking forward to bringing you a fall full of fresh!

  1. Ooh, yum! The selections look wonderful. Please be sure to include some of those turnips and radishes in my weekly delivery through the fall. Just can’t do other starchy root vegetables right now (potatoes, sweet potatoes–darn!). What do I need to do to sign up for fall? Sure enjoyed the tour of the garden–and the chard and kale!
