The melons are ready!   Sweet Crimson, Sugar Baby and Charleston Grey watermelons and the sweetest cantaloupe ever!

On the other hand, if you like it hot – the peppers are producing!  Habanero, tabasco, Serrano and Jalapeño for those who like it hot!  Anaheim and a Puerto Rican variety of cubanelle  for those who like flavor without so much heat.  Sweet Marconi and green bell peppers round out the selection for your best salads, salsas and sauces.

Our heirloom tomatoes are strong this week – Cherokee Purple, and Black Krim  are great for slicing or making sauce.  The little Reisentraube heirloom gives a red beefsteak tomato flavor in a little package.  Sweet Beverly is a gentle, mellow salad tomato.    Mix and match a basket for a great flavor variety.

Purple Pod and Green Snap beans, little yellow Soleil beans, the great Red Ripper southern peas, summer kale, lots of squash, lemon cucumbers, white and purple eggplant, fresh potatoes and Texas sweet and red onions.
